INGREDIENTS
3 pears, thinly sliced
Store bought pie crust
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ pound blue cheese
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup chopped pecans, optional
2 tablespoons honey
Sea salt for garnish
PREPARATION
Step 1
Preheat the oven 400’
Follow the defrost directions to the pie shell. Place parchment paper on baking sheet and top with pie shell
Step 2
Add the sliced pear and crumbled blue cheese leaving 1 inch around the pastry edge. Sprinkle with the cinnamon and ginger then brush with the melted butter. If you are adding the pecans, evenly sprinkle with the nuts.
Step 3
Bake 23-25 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven, let cool and top with the drizzle of honey and sprinkle with flaked sea salt.
